I joined Asia Weblog Award last morning just for fun (as my blog title – Attach myself to Asia Weblog Award), and my site became Best Mainland China Blog last afternoon. A great blogger coming form Shanghai did surveilance of the increase of my won votes and post a note 2SIMPLE-clearly cheating. He mentioned that it is clear that someone…

I understand Wang’s feeling, but SOMEONE may not be the site owner =)

This remind me of a book The Ugly Chinaman, Cheating and then Caught, mean characters of Chinese, it is just like a drama.

  5. I’m sorry this happened to you. I don’t think you cheated, I think one of your readers wanted to help you out which is why I was specific in not naming you. There was a block of 84 posted which were clearly not normal and I removed them. I will have a word with the blogger concerned.

    Lastly, the most important thing is the nominations, not the winning. Over 10000 people a day look at the voting pages. You may well get new readers from this and increase exposure of your site. Winning itself is not so important. It is a shame people do this but I, as the man behind the awards, see no blame falling on you.

    just wanna say hi to you. Phil is right, the most important thing is the nominations, not the winning. You clearly will get more readers because I’m just one of them. haha, this incident was caused by some misunderstandings, making it clear is necessary. anyway, I read your past posts, you are cool. keep it up.
